In its design, each new Mandarin Oriental hotel aims to infuse nuances of Asia with the essence of the city in which it resides. Taking cues from the days of the Silk Trade, Mandarin Oriental, Boston was looking to elegantly fuse the grace and refinement of ancient Asian design with the modern sensibilities and historic charm of cosmopolitan Boston.
Conveniently located in Boston’s Back Bay, Mandarin Oriental, Boston offers Massachusetts only Five-Star Awarded Spa, the most spacious guestrooms in the city and discreet and sincere service that reflects our Oriental heritage.
The brand alignment between Mandarin Oriental and Frette is a natural fit. We want to provide our guests with the most exceptional experience, which would include a restful night’s sleep wrapped in the finest Frette linens.
Mandarin Oriental, Boston guest room, spa and exterior
We want to provide our guests with the most exceptional experience, which would include a restful night’s sleep wrapped in the finest Frette linens.
The three most important elements when designing our guestrooms include: a functional design, luxuriously elegant materials - which of course include our Frette linens, and comfortable residential surroundings. We want our guests to feel that Mandarin Oriental, Boston is an extension of their home.
Boston is known as America’s walking city, so I would recommend doing just that as there are so many unique and historic neighbourhoods to explore. I would also highly recommend sitting on top of the Green Monster while catching a game at Fenway Park and visiting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which is my personal favourite.
It depends on the occasion. For a more approachable dining experience, light lunch or casual cocktail I would of course choose Bar Boulud, the hotel’s French-inspired bistro and wine bar. If I were looking to entertain clients in a more formal setting, I love Ostra, which features fresh New England seafood with hints of Mediterranean flavours or the rustic Italian cuisine found at Scampo by Lydia Shire.
