What was the design inspiration for Blackberry Farm?

Both the interior and exterior designs were inspired by the natural and historic beauty Bedford and Westchester County have to offer while maintaining the level of sophistication that has come to be expected by the R&C brand.

What is unique about your property?

Bedford Post is nestled in front of 14 acres in Westchester, NY, less than an hour from Manhattan and just minutes away from the historic village of Bedford. Our backyard is blanketed with hiking trails and riding trails, and come spring, a Zen garden. The house was built in the Dutch Colonial style by American patriot Col. Lewis McDonald, and is one of only three that remain in Bedford today. The property is a quiet retreat for those wishing to escape the hassles of everyday life and simply relax, and provides the opportunity for people to get out and enjoy what the nature of Westchester has to offer.

What was important about having Frette in your property?

As a luxury property, we want to provide our guests with luxury amenities.

The goal of our hotel is to make all travelers from different backgrounds feel comfortable and at home while they stay with us. Our elements are eloquent while cozy, and modern with a natural feel in our historic structure.
