Walk us through your ideal stay at Park James Hotel.

My ideal stay begins by waking up wrapped in Frette linens as I proceed to enjoy the absolute best in-room coffee experience via a pour-over featuring Ritual Coffee. I’ll sip my coffee while I read The New York Times on my in-room tablet before I make my way to the Oak + Violet Courtyard, plopping down on the comfy couches as I order California-inspired cuisine under the amazing California sun.

What is your greatest indulgence at a hotel when you travel?

A phenomenal bottle of Cabernet.

Can you share your go-to in-room dining order?

A bone-in 16-ounce filet accompanied by bone marrow and a bottle of Hall Cabernet.

If you only had 24 hours in Menlo Park, where would you visit?

I would head into the city, hopefully catch a San Francisco Giants day game and then jump on the ferry to Sausalito for a meal at Scoma’s before heading back to lay my head at Park James.

What do you believe is the greatest hidden gem in Menlo Park?

I may be biased; however, I sincerely believe the experience at Oak + Violet and/or O+V Bar & Courtyard is the best dining experience in Menlo. Hidden, because we’re still so new.

In your opinion, what is the best time of year to visit Menlo Park?

Spring

I travel because I love to learn and experience different cultures while meeting new people.

How do you define luxury?

Great comfort.

What does it feel like to wrap yourself in Frette?

It must be what I felt when I was in the womb because I cry in a similar fashion when I have to remove the Frette.
