We both have been passionate about design for a very long time, so long, it’s actually hard to remember what exactly brought it about. Home design came about when we both got our own apartments and realized that we completely adored the process of decorating it.
Travel is hugely inspiring to us. If we could, we would travel once a month. It just exposes you to so many different ways of looking at something.
Of course! It was a tiny little apartment on the Upper East Side that was probably more work than it was worth, but the couple took a chance on us and we learned so much on the job.

We love residential design. Creating a home for a family that they can enjoy for years and years is just very fulfilling.

We are majorly obsessed with books on design so it’s hard to choose just one! But we’re having a Scandinavian moment, so any of the books on Swedish cabinet makers are at the top of our wish lists.
The most important element of designing a bedroom is focusing in on what relaxes you, and that means different things for different people. For some its dark colors and warm fabrics and to others it’s light and airy. People usually know this right off the bat and it’s a great jumping off point to start scheming.
Like heaven, obviously.
We find sateen to be the softest, but there’s nothing like getting into crisp percale in the summertime.
