The William Vale opens this month in Williamsburg, the Brooklyn neighbourhood that had in recent years propelled onto the international stage as a must-visit destination. As one of the tallest buildings to the east of the East River, The William Vale promises stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, and that is just the beginning.

What was the design inspiration for The Peninsula Beverly Hills?

Chic, interactive, clean & modern

What is unique about your property?

The William Vale is the first resort inspired property in NYC. Our complex includes a green park, five food & beverages outlets, the longest hotel pool in NYC, a high-end retail promenade, and a lively Pedestrian Plaza. We created a lifestyle property interactive with its neighbourhood - each bedroom features a balcony with unobstructed city views.

What was important about having Frette in your property?

It was crucial for us to partner with the best in order to position the hotel with a true upscale identity.

It was crucial for us to partner with the best in order to position the hotel with a true upscale identity.

How does the Frette product add to the design of the hotel?

They are the perfect fit for our guest rooms which are about brightness, light colours & stunning views over the Manhattan skyline. The immaculate, elegant Frette bed linens was simply an obvious choice.

What are the most important decorative elements in your home?

The living room area and its seating space. It is extremely important for me to be able to host friends & family in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

What are your three most important elements when designing a room?

Colours, bedding and creative elements.

What does it feel like to wrap yourself in Frette?

Luxury!

How do you define luxury?

Frette!

If you only have 72 hours in Brooklyn and Manhattan, what would you recommend doing or seeing?

I would spend my time in both Greenwich Village and Williamsburg, two relaxing neighbourhoods with low-rise buildings and strong street identity which would disconnect myself from the craziness of NYC.

What's your favorite restaurant in Brooklyn?

Maison Premiere.

What kind of couples do you attract?

International & local couples looking for a truly refreshing experience in NYC. As we like to say, “The new Brooklyn is now”.
